I have no idea how to approach in the problem below

Exercise 5.12. Suppose that $nge 2$. Show that there does not exist invertible matrix $A$ in $M_n(mathbb K)$ such that $A$ maps $x$ onto $_2=1$.

Maybe we can prove it by contradiction by assuming the existence of such a matrix.
Kindly help! Thanks & regards in advance

For some basic information about writing mathematics at this site see, e.g., basic help on mathjax notation, mathjax tutorial and quick reference, main meta site math tutorial and equation editing how-to. To help you get started, I have retyped the text from your picture. Another useful thing would be to include source of the problem. You can find a lot of reasonable advice here: How to ask a good question.

  • But is there any problem with the image @MartinSleziak

  • There are quite extensive discussion on meta about this topic, for example: On the inclusion of pages-of-text-as-images in questions, What should I do when I see a “pic-question”? or Should I edit a question everytime I see an image in it? (and many others). If you have a look, you can see that using images in this way is discouraged for several reasons.

  • BTW this question seems so be basically the same (the only change is $mathbb C$ instead of $mathbb K$): Invertible linear transformations between a set with infinity norm and euclidean norm.
