I don't know enough about math to properly ask this question I'm afraid, but here goes.

Let's say we have a some probability sets for 3 restaurants and what kind of protein would likely be ordered at each.

 Beef Chicken Pork Turkey
Restaurant A 20% 25% 50% 5%
Restaurant B 60% 15% 10% 15%
Restaurant C 8% 44% 13% 35%

In addition you have some probability sets for 3 types of food and what kind of protein would be put in that food (ordered by the customer).

 Beef Chicken Pork Turkey
Taco 40% 30% 30% 0%
Panini 20% 28% 14% 38%
Salad 0% 65% 4% 31%

These are just random examples. I'm trying to figure out how you would determine the probability of getting a Beef Taco at Restaurant A (and as a result, the probability for the other Taco meats at Restaurant A) for example, or a Turkey Salad at Restaurant C (and as a result, the probability for the other Salad meats at Restaurant C).

Sorry if this isn't clear or is super obvious, I'm just not even sure of the right terminology to properly ask or search for this. Thanks.

Edit: The probabilities are the probability a customer orders a certain protein at a restaurant or with a food type.

  • I hope I'd get a beef taco if that's what I ordered at Restaurant A. What is missing here is information about how restaurants and items are chosen. Are these choices assumed to be equally likely at random?
